Choose the right cable size for a circuit — checked against both current capacity and voltage drop, because long runs often need more than the load alone suggests.

- Figures assume copper conductor in conduit at normal ambient temperature. Bunched cables and hot roof spaces need derating.
This is a planning aid, not a circuit design. Final cable sizing, earthing and protection must be decided by a licensed electrician working to IS 732 and your local supply rules. Undersized cable is a fire risk — when in doubt, go up a size and ask us.

We stock KEI, RR, Vishal and Havells cable in all common sizes. Tell us the length you need and we'll quote it by coil or by metre.
Common questions
- Why does cable length change the size I need?
- Because voltage drops along the length of a cable. A conductor that comfortably carries the current over ten metres can leave too little voltage at the far end over seventy. This tool checks both, and gives you whichever size is larger.
- What size cable does a geyser need?
- A typical 3000 watt geyser draws around 14 amps on a single phase supply and normally takes 2.5 sq mm copper on a 16 amp MCB over a short run. A long run can push it to 4 sq mm.
- Can I use this instead of an electrician?
- No. This is a planning aid so you can budget and check a quotation. Final cable sizing, earthing and protection must be decided by a licensed electrician working to IS 732 and your local supply rules.
- Do you give a GST bill?
- Yes. Sky Enterprises is GST registered under 37BULPM3692N1ZQ and issues a proper tax invoice on every purchase, which contractors and builders need for input credit.
- Do you deliver to site?
- We deliver within 10 km of the shop, covering Etcherla and the neighbouring mandals of Srikakulam district. Tell us where the site is and we'll confirm.
- What are your timings?
- Monday to Saturday, 9 AM to 9 PM. Sunday, 9 AM to 1 PM. The late closing suits contractors collecting material after finishing on site.
- Do you supply contractors on credit?
- We offer flexible credit terms to contractors who buy from us regularly. Terms depend on the relationship, so come and talk to us about it.
